John Alix

Director. Choreographer. Storyteller... 
John Alix is a director/choreographer who works both in theatre and TV/film. Some of his credits include the NBC/Universal Kids network launch in 2018, MoMa, Uniclo, Inspiration Morn musical theatre intensive in Shanghai, China, and the resident choreographer for high-end events by Van Wyck & Van Wyck. In addition, John is especially proud of his work as associate choreographer to Luis Salgado on two productions of In The Heights, which took home 9 Helen Hayes awards, including best choreography.
One of John’s favorite annual events is Broadway Bares, in which he has served on the creative team for the last five years. Some of his work within the show includes Flashlight Tag and Feminist Studies.
This year, John was honored to join the Stage Directors & Choreographers Society Observership Program. Through this program, he hopes to continue to share his love of the theatre. He continues to teach and produce work all over the world, connecting people through art.
